_______________________ DAY 7 – SINGLE WOMEN_______________________
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–12
Today I/we pray for attendees: Emily, Laurie, Karen, Bambi, Noelle, and Karise
Father, I/we want to lift up the single women who are serving You overseas. I/we pray that they would find a close friend either on their team or with a national believer; may this person join them in fellowship with You. I/we ask that they will develop friends that are like-minded; may they find girlfriends with whom they can have fun! Help them guard their schedules. As they say, “Goodbye” and, “Hello” to many roommates, enable them to keep their hearts open. Provide for their needs in unique ways and encourage them when they long for companionship and the closeness of family and friends who are in the States. Help them lean hard into You during dry, hard, and lonely seasons of life.
Lord, I/we realize that many of these women have the desire for and are open to getting married. May they trust You in this area of their life, I/we ask You to orchestrate meeting godly, available men—in Your perfect timing. If they are in a relationship, I/we ask that You give them wisdom and discernment as to Your will for them. Fill them with godly contentment and intimate encounters with You.
Lord, Mali, the land of Timbuktu (an actual city), is a West African country that wrestles with a harsh environment and one of the poorest economies in the world. Droughts are a continual plague as the majority of people just seek to survive day to day. I/we give You praise that your Spirit is moving in the country as the church slowly grows and people respond to such outreach tools as the Jesus film. I/we pray for global workers and national leaders in south Mali for there are encouraging signs of a people-movement in the villages as the people respond to the gospel.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
