Attendees: Grace, Rebecca, Tiffany, and Siu Mui
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but one that is powerful, loving and self-controlled (2 Timothy 1:7).
May You be the anchor of these ladies’ souls and minds when fear tries to cripple them. We pray their time at the retreat has served to stoke their inner fire of faith, passionate love, and yielding to You, in spite of difficulties and not understanding many “why?” questions. Empower them to fasten their eyes on Yours and believe anew in your love and power. Let your Word penetrate deep into their souls, from which they can draw upon in the days, months. and years ahead. As they lock onto your gaze, flood them with a sense of grace (not condemnation), forgiveness, and all–knowing acceptance. Help them believe You are proud of them, because of WHO they are, not as much as what they do. May they leave having exchanged their spirit of heaviness with a garment of praise.
As the volunteer team heads toward Peru today, we ask for traveling mercies, health, and that all their luggage arrive. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
