Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Be careful to obey…do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:6-9).
Father God, you know and have created the longing in the single’s hearts to be pursued, loved, known, and cherished. While they know You do all these things (and we pray they experience You in these ways), many also desire to be married to have a special man to serve alongside. Please provide these relationships, and give them great discernment while seeking Your will. Waiting with contentment is hard. Lord, we ask that you bless them with significant friendships. May they feel connected in their communities and find fun ways to de-stress and not feel bad about it (there are up-sides to being free and single!). Let the retreat be a place to connect, laugh, be heard ,and feel connected. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
