Attendees: Christina, Joy, and Rachel

Father God, we ask that You will strengthen these ladies with power by your Spirit in their inner beings, so that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith. We pray that together they will experience the breath, test it’s length, plumb the depths, and rise to the heights of Your love. We invite You to do more than what we could ever imagine in answering this prayer for them (Ephesians 3:15-20).

The cross-cultural community can begin to feel small. Many teams are comprised of various nationalities, backgrounds, and giftedness with a variety of ministry focuses. This can give rise to comparison, competition, and perceived differing values, including: how fast one learns the language or sees conversions, how one’s kids adapt to national schools/churches, how one furnishes home (or size of it). Other things include: having limited funds, singles and married couples, with and without kids, adventurous or needing to be “hand held” during an orientation period, little visible fruit for the sacrifice and effort of living overseas. All of these things equate to ample opportunity for Satan to cause disunity, discontent, and hurt. Many times this feels like an emotional quagmire. We pray for confession of wrongs, healing of hurts and rebuilding of trust to unify teams and clearly reflect Jesus.
