Next week, the Thrive staff and volunteers will be flying to the Middle East. We’re checking our lists and making sure we have the retreat supplies we were asked to bring. We’re creating lists for families and friends who will pray us there and home again, reminding them of chores to do while we’re away and how to get in touch with us in case of an emergency. The office staff in CO is working with local volunteers to assemble and pack the retreat goodies that will come from there. We’re all busy.
Busy. Some of us may be feeling overwhelmed with all that needs to be done. Some of us may be nervous about serving in a brand new way. Others are probably dreading the long flights. Yet, even though our days are hectic and we are dealing with many different feelings, we’re very excited to go and love on the women who will be coming to the retreat from all over the Middle East.
Thankfully, Debbie’s 30 Days of Prayer remind us each day to be still and know our God, to cease our rushing so we can sit at His feet and prepare our hearts for the retreat, to pray for those we are going to serve. Pray, Thrive Advocates, those who are going and those who are staying home this time, please pray!
