Ten very different women. Ten different stores, dreams, perspectives, families, struggles and victories. Ten unique individuals with hopes and dreams that are being lived out in Southeast Asia.
One. One privileged heart. Me, desiring to encourage, love and be used by God to refresh the eleven, but knowing I have nothing in myself to offer.
The One. The Only One Who is faithful and true. He showed up yesterday in the make-shift “salon” that is my hotel room. As the ten came hoping for a new hairstyle, a fresh “look,” my co-volunteer expertly trimmed their hair. Sweet smiles and light laughter filled the space. She cut the deadens and heaviness from their heads as we silently prayed God would remove any “dead-end” thought from their minds and heaviness from their hearts.
I was the helper, no hairstyling skills to offer-only my heart to bow with theirs as we prayed and offered all ten precious lives to the One Who is faithful and true.
“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” Thessalonians 5:24
