John 17:20-23 – My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one – I in them and you in me – so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Today we pray for retreat attendees Cathy and Becky, and Nancy, one of the retreat volunteers.
Father, today we pray for good health and energy for both the volunteers and the attendees during their retreat. It’s easy to get run down, and with all the preparation it takes to pack, to arrange for the needs of their families, and to clear their schedules, we ask you to keep them strong and allow them to find needed rest to keep them healthy.
In the volunteer team’s preparation days prior to the start of the retreat, they will be assembling gifts, preparing the rooms for the various pampering options and counseling/prayer appointments, and the worship team will come together to practice and coordinate their sessions. Lord, we pray that it would be a fun time of working together well, and in unity, and that you would coordinate and bless their efforts. We pray that the preparations will help to create an environment for the attendees to see you and genuinely experience your lavish love for them.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
