Day 18 | 30 Days of Prayer | Croatia
Topic: A New Song
Today we pray for Attendees: Klara, Ashley, Emily and Kimberly
“My heart, O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake my soul! I will praise you Lord, among the nations; For great is your love reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted O God, above the heaves; let your glory be over all the earth.” (Psalm 57)
Many are the times these ladies have clenched their fists and clung tightly onto God’s promises, not knowing the outcome of the situation. We pray Lord, that you would strengthen their faith in questioning times, reassure them that He has them (and their loved ones) in the palm of Your hand. When their fists are clenched in anger toward you, we ask that you gently help them release their will to Yours. Please give them a heart that is steadfast, a new song to sing, and awaken their souls so that they will praise you!
Quite a few of the volunteers are in route to Croatia today. We ask for traveling and custom mercies, along with health.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Regional Prayer Focus Nation: Uganda
Challenges for Prayer
Uganda has worked hard to recover from the devastation of the Amin and Obote years and has made great strides to this effect. Pray for peace both regionally (Congo-DRC, Kenya, Sudan, Horn of Africa) and internally (Lord’s Resistance Army). Pray that the government might exercise its authority with even-handed honesty and a true concern for its own people.
Christian support ministries:
a) The Bible Society has done much to promote new Bible translations and to publish Bibles, but sales are less than what they were in the 1980s. All Christian literature ministries are similarly crippled, but The Bible Society, Gideons and others distribute several hundred thousand Bibles and NTs every year. Thirteen languages remain without God’s Word and a further 18 have only part of the Bible. SIL is assisting in this ministry task. Pray for the provision of Scriptures to all, in their own language.
