____________________________ DAY 22 – REST____________________________

It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.

Psalm 127:2

So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.

Hebrews 4:9-10

Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.

Hebrews 4:7c

Today we pray for attendees: Shelly, Shanna, and Melissa

There are always more things to do and people to care for than hours/energy in a day. Father, we pray that these ladies invite You into their chaos, schedules, and relationships on a daily basis. Give them ears to hear Your voice and feel your presence. May they learn to enter into Your REST (emotional, spiritual, and physical). In grace, may they read, listen, and sing Your Word to nourish their souls. Give them courage and self-permission to REST. Empower them to walk in obedience in step with your Spirit. Grant them sweet rest at the retreat.

The church in Russia has suffered the most severe and sustained persecution of any nation in recent history. Thank you, Lord, for Your protection and for enabling Your Church to survive, grow, and triumph in the end. Father, we pray for the church’s flexibility, adaptability, and cultural relevance. There is a need for practical holiness and integrity in daily life. Unity is needed among the various Christian groups. Lord, raise up more godly leaders and sound preaching of the Bible. We commit to You, Lord, the long-term global workers and ask for their issue of visas, local acceptance, wise deployment, and protection from violence. Thank you.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
