Hi, I am Jo. I have been crossing cultures since 1988. I currently serve my organization by doing member care follow-up monthly with people who work in my area. I am excited that I am also able to help my organizational efforts in encouraging the next generation in getting involved in cross-cultural work. One of my new roles will be to help several newcomers enjoy the challenges of cross-cultural living and to find the right place and task that fits their gifts and interests. I am excited that this year my own daughter and her husband have also become cross-cultural workers in Asia.
I have had the hobby of quilt making since my college days. I so enjoy the colors and fabrics of South Asia. The picture is from a workshop I recently attended to learn local village hand-quilting techniques. I love working with women and children and encouraging them in difficult situations.
- Please pray for my daughter and I as we plan to attend the Thrive retreat together that travel plans and health will allow that plan to become a reality.
- Please pray for my time with women in difficult situations that I will know how to encourage them and God will minister to them.
- Pray for my learning a new language with my not-so-young brain.
- Pray that God will send others to be my hands and feet to help my aging parents back home when I can’t be there.
