In many parts of the Middle East, as well as the rest of the world, life is very basic! There are no luxuries or conveniences, and daily bread is the basic sustenance that is literal! A round flat bread with a little olive oil is all that is needed for a meal. I saw in this vase the two basic ingredients of daily food: olive branches and wheat stalks. The sunshine coming through the open door is the divine gift to produce this food. Somehow, every day, all over the world, God gives human kind “our daily bread.”
